Golden Jubilee Exhibition, January 2011

As a part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the Institute organized a two day academic exhibition entitled ‘Diversity for Development’ on January 28th and 29th, 2011. The objective of the conference was to make students aware of the career opportunities available to them and to reach out to the parents, academia and industry. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. V. Prakash, Director, Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore.

The exhibition brought to the fore the multi disciplinary nature of the courses offered at the institute including various streams of Home Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry as well as Elementary Education. Students from schools as well as colleges across the city participated in the exhibition. The exhibition also showcased the achievements of different fields of study and career opportunities available to students.

The interactive nature of the exhibition including working models, games, film shows, street plays captivated the audience. The journey of the past 50 years of the college was depicted through an impressive photo exhibition.

The exhibition culminated in the Annual Day celebrations. Prizes were given to meritorious students. A colourful cultural program highlighting the diversity of India was showcased by the students.
