Dr.Geeta Trilok-Kumar

Designation: Associate Professor

Educational Qualifications: Dr. Trilok-Kumar has her B.Sc. from Delhi University, Master’s degrees from National Dairy Research Institute, an MS in Nutritional Biochemistry from University of Guelph, Canada and a Ph.D. on Clinical trials jointly from AIIMS and DU. She received the Commonwealth fellowship for her Post doctoral work at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, UK. She also received a four week NORAD grant for learning micronutrient analysis at Bergen, Norway.

Research Interests: Micronutrient malnutrition especially in maternal and child growth. Currently she has three international grants(UGC-UKIERI thematic partnerships with the medical statistics department, London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine, UGC-New Zealand Research Council grant and a large Medical Research Council, UK grant for close to three million pounds with Queen Mary University, London and a DBT grant. In the past she has been funded by ICMR, DBT, Nutrition Third World , Brussels and Sight and Life, Switzerland and has completed large clinical trials. She has published in prestigious high impact factor journals such as British Journal of Nutrition and International Journal of Epidemiology. She is part of international consortiathat are currently analysing pooled large datasets like the consortium for IPD analysis on Vitamin D supplementation in respiratory disease(based in London) as well as the Gates foundation funded consortium, the HBGDKi. She has presented her work at several international conferences and has been an invited speaker at National and International meetings. She has been on the DBT and ICMR project review groups and task forces. She has been teaching B.Sc.Hons. Biochemistry as well as B.Sc., M.Sc.students of Home Science in addition to guiding Ph. D. students of Food & Nutrition, Home Science. She also has a brief experience in teaching at LSHTM during her post doctoral tenure.

Educational Qualifications: Ph.D in Biochemistry from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

Research Interest: Worked on hepatic Apolipoprotein receptors and their modulation and allied areas lipoprotein and thrombolytic system

Experience: 16 years of Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching and guiding several M.Sc. Dissertations
