Dr. (Mrs.) Renu Arora

Educational Qualifications: M.Sc.; B.Ed.; Ph.D; PGDBA

Experience:Dr Renu Arora has been teaching in the institute for more than 25 years. At present, she is guiding a number of postgraduate and doctoral researches in the area of Ergonomics, Marketing, Banking and Consumer related issues. She has published a book titled, “Consumer Grievances Redressal” sponsored by ICSSR. She has undertaken a number of major and minor research projects funded by UGC on income generation activities, consumer redressal mechanism and ergonomics. She has also worked on a research project in the area of consumer protection undertaken from the Consumer Redressal Fund, Government of India. She has published a number of papers in national and international journals and presented at national and international forums. She has worked as Course Coordinator for the Short Term Certificate Course in Event Management from 2007-2009 and Auto-CAD from 2008 onwards. She worked as a member of Delhi Consumer Protection Council, Government of India, and an associate member of Volunteer Consumer Organisation.

Dr. (Mrs.) Poonam Magu

Designation: Associate Professor

Educational Qualifications:B.Ed.,M.Sc, Ph.D. (University of Delhi)

Experience:Dr. Poonam Magu, an alumnus of the college, has been teaching in the college since 1989. She did her Ph.D., on the topic, ‘Urban Kitchens and Meal Preparation Activities: An Assessment on Their Association’. She has published a number of papers in national and international journals and presented at national and international forums. Her major areas of interests are Ergonomics, Management and Design.

Mrs Pratima Singh

Designation: Assistant Professor

Educational Qualifications:M.Sc. Home Science (Community Resource Management & Extension)

Experience:Mrs. Pratima singh has been teaching in the institute since 2008. Prior to joining the institute, she worked as a Lecturer in Extension Education Department of Regional Institute of Education, NCERT. She has published a number of papers and presented in various National Conferences.

Ms. Meghna Sharma

Designation: Assistant Professor

Educational Qualifications:B.Ed.,M.Sc., MBA (Human Resources)

Experience:Ms. Meghna has been teaching at the institute since 2005. She is presently registered for Ph.D, with University of Delhi. The topic of her thesis is, ‘Classroom furniture dimensions and Anthropometric measures of children in public schools’. Prior to joining the institute, she has worked as Research Executive for Educomp solutions for developing curriculum for preschool trainers. She has also worked as Research Associate with Don Bosco Ashalyam for the project ‘Self reliant program for Afghan and Burmese refugees’. She has successfully completed one month project on “Assessment Centre” for Ranbaxy laboratories limited in July 2007. She has been the course co-ordinator the Short Term Certificate Course in Event Management and Human Resource Management of the Department. Ms. Meghna has published a number of papers in national and international journals and presented at national and international forums. She is an active member of Europe Chapter of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
