    Experience:Ms. Gupta joined the Delhi University in 1999 and has been teaching various nutrition courses to under-graduate and post-graduate students of Home Science; Food and Nutrition; Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition; and Social Gerontology since then. She is a recipient of FNP scholarship (2003) conferred jointly by the Kingdom of Netherlands and Food and Agriculture Organization to participate in a course in Programme Planning and Management in Philippines. Ms. Gupta has guided several M.Sc. dissertations; undertaken research projects; and contributed chapters and modules for different courses of IGNOU and National Institute of Open Schooling. Some of her areas of interest are macro and micronutrient deficiencies, programme planning, development of nutrition education modules and food labelling.

  • Ms. Archana Bhagat

    Experience:Ms Archana Bhagat has been teaching in the college since 1996. Prior to joining the institute, she taught at Lady Irwin College for five years. She has been teaching various facets of Foods and Nutrition to students pursuing post-graduate, Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition and under-graduate programmes. She has guided several M.Sc. dissertations and written chapters for CSIR. She has also conducted classes in Nutrition and Health Education for the School of Open Learning, DU and for the Masters program in Food Service Management of IGNOU. Her areas of interest lie in the field of Institutional Food Management, Therapeutic Nutrition especially diabetes and Product development. She is the recipient of the National Scholarship of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the ICAR Fellowship for research for post-graduate studies.

    Dr. Rajni Chopra

    Educational Qualifications:Ph.D (Biochemistry) CFTRI, Mysore

    Experience:Dr. Rajni has joined University of Delhi in 2008 and has been teaching Food Science courses to under- graduate and post-graduate students of Home Science since then. She received ICAR- JRF for pursuing M.Sc degree and UGC-JRF & SRF for pursuing Ph.D degree. Dr. Rajni Chopra has published six research papers in international journals, presented various papers in the national and international conferences, process patented and guided two M.Sc. dissertations. She has expertise in various research techniques like HPLC, LCMS, GC, GC-MS, Mass Spectrometry, platelet aggregometer, basic Lipid, protein extraction and purification techniques, enzyme assays and interesterification, nutritional and Biochemical techniques (cholesterol analysis, lipid peroxidation, lipid profiling, antioxidant enzyme assays) and handling of experimental animals. Her area of interest is to work and excel in the field of Food Science and Technology by undertaking research works.

    Ms. Deepshikha Kataria

    Educational Qualifications:M.Sc. Food & Nutrition, Delhi University, PG Diploma in Food Safety & Quality Management, IGNOU

    Experience:Ms. Deepshikha has been teaching in the college since 2009. Her areas of interest are food safety, food processing, food science and quality control. She has guided M.Sc. dissertation titled ‘A study on GHP of unorganized dairies and their effect on product quality’. Prior to joining the college she has worked with Food Safety & Standards Authority of India, MOHFW as Research Associate. She did a project on “Shelf life and ripening behavior of mangoes (five varieties)” supported by Bharti Del Monte Pvt. Ltd. She is a life member of Nutrition Society of India (NSI).
