The Institute has a state-of-the-art audio studio, which is housed in twin sound proof rooms. It is equipped with 16 channel analog audio mixer, audio-monitor, speakers & two track sound card. The studio serves as a laboratory to train students specializing in the Communication and Extension stream, in various aspects of radio journalism. Recording and editing of radio programmes and editing of video films and documentaries is also undertaken in the studio. To optimize the use of audio-studio, short term courses on radio jockeying are also organized by the Department of Communication and Extension for the benefit of students.
