MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria

For Paper I (Classes I to V):
  • Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002.
  • OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • OR, Graduation and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):
  • Graduation and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • OR, Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Age Limit:

• There is no specific age limit for appearing in the MAHA TET 2024 examination.

Selection Process For MAHA TET

The pay scale for primary teachers (Classes I to V) typically ranges from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month, while for upper primary teachers (Classes VI to VIII), it ranges from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month.
