MAHA TET Eligibility Criteria
For Paper I (Classes I to V):
- Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE regulations 2002.
- OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- OR, Graduation and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
For Paper II (Classes VI to VIII):
- Graduation and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR, Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- OR, Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
Age Limit:
• There is no specific age limit for appearing in the MAHA TET 2024 examination.

MAHA TET Job Pay Scale & Salary Details
The salary for teachers in Maharashtra government schools is based on the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. The pay scale for primary teachers (Classes I to V) typically ranges from Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month, while for upper primary teachers (Classes VI to VIII), it ranges from Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month. These figures are subject to change based on government revisions and may vary slightly depending on the specific position and location.
In addition to the basic salary, teachers are eligible for various allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other benefits as per government norms. They also receive benefits like provident fund, gratuity, and medical insurance.
