TN Income Tax Sports Person Vacancy Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications:
- For Income Tax Inspector and Tax Assistant: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- For Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): 10th pass from a recognized board
Age Limit:
- For Income Tax Inspector: 18 to 30 years (as of January 1, 2024)
- For Tax Assistant and MTS: 18 to 27 years (as of January 1, 2024)
Sports Qualifications:
- Representation at state or national level in recognized sports competitions
- Medal winners in Junior National Championships, Khelo India Youth Games, or equivalent tournaments
- For chess players: Titles like Grandmaster (GM) or International Master (IM)

- Tax Assistant: Pay Band of Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,400 (Pre-revised)
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Pay Band of Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1,800 (Pre-revised)
In addition to the basic pay, employees are entitled to various allowances as per government rules, which may include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Transport Allowance, among others.
